Driver Ed in Duchesne County
Enroll in our Driver Ed program in the Duchesne County School District and build your driving confidence with our Utah state-approved program.
Program Phases
- Get your learner's permit.
- In-person or Online driver ed course
- After 40 hours of driving with a parent, you must begin with a permit and practice with a parent before driving independently.
- Three 2-hour behind-the-wheel lessons
- Road test
Behind-the-wheel driving is for refining skills and passing the test, not for learning the basics.
Course Overview
To register, you must:
- Be at least 15 years old
- Have a valid learner's permit
- Go to school at Altamont High School, Duchesne High School, Tabiona High School, or Union High School
IMPORTANT!
You must attend or live within the boundaries of Duchesne County to register for our courses. Unfortunately, you will be turned away if you proceed without meeting these boundary requirements. You cannot enroll in our courses if you have graduated from high school.
You must have your permit before registering for any driver ed programs. If you do not have your permit, please obtain it first and then register.
If you register with false information, you will be removed from the class at the instructor's discretion.
